Rakesh Gandhi (name changed) 38 years IT professional with a height 170 cm, weight 110 kg, BMI 38.1 kg/m2, an obese person came to my clinic for natural weight loss in October 2015.His detail history was taken with investigations.
He was hypertensive with high thyroid levels and complained of snoring problems. Rakesh led completely sedentary life style (no exercise & snacking).
He took various weight loss supplements by himself. But he wanted to lose weight in a healthier way.
We developed a diet plan for him depending on calorie input & output plus advised him some tips to follow on daily basis

Along with diet therapy he was counseled for moderate exercise & motivated him to follow diet schedule.
He was very regular patient for follow up as he lost 4 kg of weight in first month that encouraged him to follow the diet ahead. At end of 6 months he lost total 10 kg of weight with good energy levels.
Hemoglobin was 10.8 in October 2015 when he came to us & after 6 months it was 14.5.His antihypertensive tablet was also decreased.
Most of the people are attracted to the advertisements & products which claim to help them to lose weight faster. But to lose weight in a healthier way is what important. Small changes can make a big difference. Losing weight too fast can take a toll on your mind & body making you feel sluggish, drained, and sick. So set short term goals to keep you motivated.
