After Completing MBBS, Dr. Kedar Patil trained for Specialization in General Surgery at Poona Hospital in Pune. Following which he was selected and completed 2 years course of Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (F.N.B) the only recognized degree in Laparoscopic Surgery by the nodal authority National Board of Examinations, New Delhi at the prestigious GEM Hospital, Coimbatore.
He was selected for Fellowship in Hepato-Pancreato Biliary and Gastrointestinal Onco Surgery at India’s most reputed Cancer Centre Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. After which he completed a Six-month International traveling Fellowship in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery in Taiwan.
1. Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery like Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, Single-incision Sleeve Gastrectomy, Laparoscopic Gastric bypass, Laparoscopic Duodenojejunal bypass, and Laparoscopic Proximal Jejunal bypass.
2. Gastrointestinal Onco Surgery mainly of Stomach, Hepato Pancreato biliary and Colonic Oncosurgery.
3. Laparoscopic Surgical procedures like Diagnostic Laparoscopy, Laparoscopic appendicectomy, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Laparoscopic Ventral hernia, Laparoscopic inguinal hernia, Laparoscopic fundoplication, Laparoscopic Splenectomy, Laparoscopic Colectomy, etc.

He has more than 10 years’ experience in the field of Laparoscopic, Bariatric, and Metabolic, Gastrointestinal Onco and hernia Surgery.
He Consults and operates in Pune and Sangli. He started Bariatric Surgery for the first time in Western Maharashtra in Sangli in 2015. He Operated on India’s Shortest Obese person for Bariatric Surgery in 2018.
Dr. Kedar Patil has presented Scientific Papers and given lectures on various aspects of Laparoscopic Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery, and Hernia Surgery at various International, National and Local forums like IFSO, OSSI, AMASI, IHPBA, MASICON, PSS, IMA and General Practitioners Associations.
He has been invited at International and National Conferences and has been invited as a Faculty and examiner for the FMAS skill Course (Fellowship in Minimally Access Surgery awarded by AMASI) being conducted at various places in India. He has written extensively to create awareness about Bariatric surgery, Hernia Surgery and Laparoscopic surgery in Newspapers like Sakal, Lokmat, Times of India, Saptahik Sakal, IMA Magazine, etc. He has conducted various Public awareness lectures in Pune and various cities in Maharashtra.
He actively participated in Flood relief Medical work in August 2019 in the District of Sangli. Received Maharashtra State Indian Medical Association (IMA) Presidents appreciation award for the same. He was invited as an expert on Bariatric and Laparoscopic Surgery on TV Channels Zee 24 Taas and TV 9 Marathi.
Dr. Kedar Patil has conducted various CME and training programs for Doctors and Dieticians with regards to Weight loss, Metabolic Syndrome management, and Gastrointestinal disorders. Since November 2014 he conducts Anti-Obesity Support Group activities every 3 monthly to raise awareness and motivates people to lose weight in order to be healthy. He is actively involved in the field of Cricket and social welfare.
Dr. Kedar Patil is attached to various hospitals in Pune and has his ‘Presize Clinic’ located at Poona Hospital, Deccan, Pune. He is affiliated to Poona, Bharati, Global, Inamdar and Jehangir Hospital in Pune. He is also attached to Bharati Hospital in Sangli.
He is a Life member of IMA(Indian Medical Association), AMASI (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India), ASI(Association of Surgeons of India ), OSSI(Obesity Surgery Society Of India) and Poona Surgical Society(PSS).
